01 / QUESTIONS

DIAGNOSTICS

What does your Basic Diagnostic include?

Our Basic Diagnostic is $189.99 for an initial one-hour evaluation of an agreed vehicle concern. The appropriate first checks depend on the symptoms and vehicle. Complex tracing, extensive disassembly, programming, parts and repairs are not automatically included. We'll discuss any extended diagnostic scope before additional testing.

Does a check engine code tell you exactly what to replace?

No. A stored code points toward a detected condition, system or circuit. Several causes can produce similar codes. We review the complaint and perform suitable testing before recommending a repair.

What happens if one hour of diagnostics is not enough?

Our $189.99 Basic Diagnostic covers an initial one-hour evaluation of the agreed concern. If additional testing, circuit tracing or disassembly is needed, we stop testing, explain the proposed next steps and request approval for extended diagnostics before continuing.

Can you diagnose a car that won't start?

Yes. We investigate no-crank and crank/no-start concerns using appropriate battery, starter, electrical, ignition and fuel-system checks. Testing helps identify the cause before parts are recommended. If the vehicle cannot be driven, call ahead to coordinate towing to our shop.

VISITING & BOOKING

Do I need an appointment?

We recommend booking ahead so our team can plan the appropriate service and discuss availability. Call before bringing in a vehicle without an appointment.

Book an appointment ↗
What should I bring or tell you?

Provide the vehicle year, make, model, current mileage, main symptoms, warning lights and relevant recent repairs. When a problem is intermittent, tell us when and how often it occurs.

Contact our team ↗
Do you work with extended vehicle warranties?

We can review applicable vehicle service contracts, document diagnostic findings and communicate with a warranty administrator when appropriate. The contract determines covered repairs, approval requirements, deductibles and customer responsibility for non-covered charges.

PRICING & PROCESS

Do you explain estimates and get approval before repairs?

Yes. We discuss the proposed repair and estimate with the customer, and additional diagnostics or repairs require authorization. Some special-order parts or scheduling may require a deposit; our team will explain the terms that apply.

Our approach ↗
Can you quote every repair over the phone?

For a clearly defined service, we may be able to prepare a preliminary estimate using vehicle details. If the actual fault is uncertain, an inspection or diagnostic may be needed before a reliable repair estimate can be provided.

A/C & BRAKES

Do you inspect brake noises or vibrations?

We can evaluate brake concerns and explain an appropriate inspection or diagnostic scope. Grinding, a soft pedal, unusually long stopping distances or unpredictable braking may be unsafe. Do not continue driving an unsafe vehicle.

Do you diagnose A/C systems that blow warm?

Yes. Cooling concerns can involve airflow, electrical controls, refrigerant leaks, compressors or other faults. A diagnosis helps avoid assuming the system just needs refrigerant or a replacement compressor.

Do brake pads and rotors always need replacing together?

No. Recommendations depend on pad wear, rotor thickness and condition, vibration or noise, and vehicle requirements. We explain what inspection findings support the proposed repair instead of automatically replacing every part.

Are brake inspections always free?

No. A quick visible condition check and diagnosis of grinding, pulsing, ABS warnings or hydraulic problems can involve different work. We explain the inspection or diagnostic scope and applicable charge before testing begins.
